A couple of days ago I was scrolling through Lauren from 'Britton Loves' blog, and came across a post titled 'The Perfect Day'. It was such a lovely post to read that I wanted to recreate her list with my ideas about what would contribute to my own perfect day.
Wake up with no alarm, after a good 10 hours sleep feeling energised and ready for the day.
Open the blinds and the sun is shining.
A crisp winter day...
...or a warm summers day.
Make up application goes just the way I want it to.
The motivation to go to the gym and push myself extra hard with one extra round
Receiving a compliment from someone unexpected
Breakfast is delicious and satisfying...
...Lunch is delicious and satisfying...
...Dinner is delicious and satisfying...
...and you have time to cook each from scratch.
Customers at work are polite and grateful for your help.
Emails containing good news.
Taking a long walk in the sunny countryside.
Finishing work at 5:30 on the dot.
Baking something delicious.
Catching up with friends and family whom you haven't seen/spoken to in a while.
Washing your face as soon as you get in from work.
Having a long bubble bath in the evening to unwind and relax.
Having the time to read a good book/watch a film/watch some TV.
Being organised for the next day; bag packed, lunch made, outfit chosen.
Going to sleep happy and feeling as though I've achieved a lot that day.
