Everyday University Face

Today's post features my 5 minute university face.  Although there may seem like an hours worth of products here, I promise that they're incredibly easy to blend, buff, smudge and coat.  It is pretty much in the student job description that you must have the ability to lie in bed until the very last minute, but still look 'relatively' presentable when you eventually roll up to uni.

1.  L'oreal Mattifying Infallible Foundation is my current favourite base product.  Although it boasts a 'matte' finish, on my skin it actually looks more satin and has a lot more glow than many other drugstore matte finish foundations.  I use my Zoeva Silk Finish brush to quickly blend the foundation over my skin; the brush leaves my skin looking natural and healthy, whilst giving me a good amount of coverage.

2.  Maybelline Insant Eraser Eye Concealer.  I use my fingers to pat in the concealer under my eyes, around my nose and on any other redness or blemishes I may have.  I love that this is a real multi-use product, and is fantastic at covering spots as well as hiding those under eye bags that totally give away that I've been up all night working on an assignment (or partying...).

3. Bourjois Powder.  Using my Zoeva Powder Brush, I dust a light layer of the powder over my skin, focusing mainly on my T-zone where I tend to get the most oily.  This powder gives just the right amount of luminosity whilst keeping my skin matte all day (but doesn't ever look cakey!)

4. Max factor Creme Puff Blush and Rimmel Sun Bronzer.  I love these two products together to give my face a lovely glow and some warmth.  They're perfect even in winter as both are quite sheer so it is impossible to over do it!

3.  Soap and Glory Brow Archery.  I'm totally envious of those who only have to touch up the front or tail ends of their brows and they're done.  I run the pencil throughout my brows to fool people into thinking I'm naturally lucky in the brow department.  Soap and Glory have done really well with this product, it's quite hard to find a pencil in the drugstore that is cool toned enough without looking too grey.

4.  Maybelline The Nudes Palette.  I've been loving sweeping the mauvey brown colour (bottom left) all over the lid, and the grey/brown colour (top right) through the crease.  This combination looks lovely for autumn and gives your eyes 'a little something' without looking too heavy or unnatural when you're only popping into uni.

5.  Rimmel Brown Kohl Pencil.  I use this to line my top and bottom lash lines, then smudge it out with my ring finger.  I've used this eyeliner for what feels like forever, it smudges beautifully and stays put all day.

6.  Maybelline Lash Sensation.  To complete my eyes,  I give my lashes a quick squeeze in my Kiko Lash Curlers, then apply two coats of the mascara.  This mascara is easily one of the best I've tried. I always feel as though my lashes look really full and volumous after I've used two or three coats, and it helps keep my poker straight lashes curly all day.

7. Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner and Mac, Modesty Lipstick.  The final step of my make up involves quickly defining my lips with Rimmels lip liner in 'East End Snob' and filling them in with my favourite every day lipstick, Mac Modesty.

Do you have a go-to look for when you're in a rush?  I would love to hear about what products you use!

Amour, Ellie xxx
